up, ff 43

Reasons to be down today:

1. Breaking Dawn part II--you stayed up all night, you've seen it and now it is over. Everything you have dreamt and hoped and prayed about has now finished. Did Edward and Bella live happily FOREVER after? Did their spawn fall in love with the wolf-guy? It's all over and now there is nothing to look forward to.

2. Black Friday--the most heinous day of the year is one week away. Now that the big box stores are open Thursday evening (boo!), your shopping list just got longer and your anxiety worsened.

3. Thanksgiving--sure, it's a great holiday and you love turkey, but someone has got to make all of those rich side dishes. Better get to the store soon before canned yams and those crispy onion things are gone!

4. Hostess--the makers of Twinkies and Ding Dongs is finally calling it quits. They threatened the end of Twinkies a couple of years ago and I still see them at the store, so I am reticent to believe the news. Better be safe and go buy 50 boxes for food storage. Don't worry, they'll keep. (I think that the "man" and "son" even ate them in The Road.)

5. Family Picture Time--not only have you NOT lost that extra 10 pounds, you haven't even bought matching outfits for your yearly family photo yet. Get crackin'. Time is a-wastin'. (she says mostly to herself.)

DEAR FRIENDS: DON'T BE DOWN!

Be happy. Twilight is over. Black Friday can save you money OR you don't have to shop at all. Thanksgiving is the best. Hostess is gross anyway. Family Pictures, well, shoot... get on it.

Get UP. Good times. No, really. It is the season to be up, up, up. Watch this!

I asked the still-sleeping Alan to pick a number for our Christmas mix winner. He picked #2, which is Angela Henrie! Ashton picked #5--katyasmommy. Maggie picked #10--Alan (umm, he's taken care of). Way to go Angela and Jen. Expect your ridiculously jolly mix soon!

Bon week-end, mes amis.

I'm ready to rumble on the holidays. In fact, I can't wait! (thanksgiving rich-dish-cooking duties aside, that is)

Never have liked that cooking part...
