Has it been a week already?

What IS up?

We've been super busy sleeping in, watching movies, sledding in the snow, playing tether ball, riding the scooter around the house, putting away Christmas, and staying up super late.

putting Christmas away

Johnny got an iPod touch for Christmas and cracked the screen within 12 hours. That was fun. I took him to the Apple store and after finding the right person got a replacement for the entire iPod (note: don't replace the screen on iPods or iPhones or it voids any future warranty or deal that the Apple store will give you. They will replace your entire iPod for $99--or if you bring Johnny in and smile a lot, they might do it for free for you, too!)

Maggie got an iPhone and so now I can be on instagram (my name is arzabud). It's pretty pathetic of me, I am well aware, but you do what you can, you know? She also got an ukelele and if I hear one more person sing to me "my dog has fleas" that thing is going to the thrift store. I can't tune it for the life of me. 25 years tuning a violin and this ukelele is giving me the fits. Nice.

My niece got married in Arizona and I was able to drive down with Rhett and my parents (in a snow storm) to see the blessed union. My siblings and I all got to go out to dinner for the first time in perhaps ever, in Nick's party bus no less, and had more fun than I could ever explain.

My house feels empty without all of the Christmas decorations. It even echos in some corners. I still have the Christmas cards up on the kitchen cupboards and they make me smile every time I see them. I am still collecting them, too, so how could I put them away just yet?

I found this album at the library yesterday and can imagine some of you might enjoy it as much as I have been. Even for those of you who I don't even know your name, but I am always glad you came.

My 12 year old asked for a ukelele too. I can't believe how hard it is to tune that last string!!!

I have Jen's book of ukelele songs, I'll have to copy some and then send it your way.
